After the external temporary stitches have been removed the a lighter head wrap can be worn for the next few weeks. After two months of healing the majority of the healing should be done. Most patients can actually go back to work a week or a little longer than a week after the procedure. Contact sports or anything that can put the ear to risk must be avoided during that time though.
