We are pleased to offer liposculpture without anesthesia. At our center, you are able to have your entire procedure without the need for general anesthesia or sedation of any kind. And to maintain your safety, we do your procedure in our fully certified surgery center with a complete team of your surgeon and two nurses.

When we do liposuction without anesthesia, we use the tumescent technique. This method can reduce post operative bruising, swelling and pain. We do Micro Lipo, which means we use tiny incisions and micro suction tubes. Blood loss is minimized during our form of liposcupture, and the entire process is very comfortable. We have many patients who are delighted both with their results and with the ease and comfort of the procedure itself.

When we perform Rodeo Drive Liposculpture™, we inject your areas of excess fat with anesthetic fluid. The liquid causes your fat to become swollen and firm or “tumesced.” Once your fat is expanded this way, it allows the cannula, or suction tube, to travel smoothly beneath the skin as your fat is removed. Since we use very small sucking tubes, the procedure is quite comfortable.

Any person who is a candidate for standard liposuction is also a good candidate for the tumescent liposculpture technique. This approach can be used on any area of your body, and is especially useful on areas that require enhanced precision, such as the face, neck, arms, calves and ankles. If you have large areas of excess fat, you may also be good candidates for tumescent liposuction.

We take your safety seriously. Unlike most centers that do lipo in small procedure rooms, we do your procedure in our fully certified surgery center. Our facility has been inspected by the government for its layout, staffing, safety equipment and quality of care. We do not cut corners on your safety.

We do your procedure in the safety of our operating room. We use sophisticated monitoring equipment during your procedure to confirm that you remain safe and comfortable throughout. You will have an entire team taking care of you – your surgeon to do the procedure and two nurses to take care of your needs before and after.

In tumescent liposculpture, the warmed tumescent liquid — a dilute solution containing a local anesthetic called lidocaine, a medicine to prevent bleeding called epinephrine and intravenous fluid — is injected into the area to be treated. As the liquid enters the fat, it becomes swollen, firm and blanched. Liposculpture is then performed on the tumesced areas with enhanced precision and comfort.

If you and Dr Lloyd Krieger decide this is the best for you, the tumescent solution itself may serve as the sole means of anesthesia.

The long-acting effects of the anesthetic solution help to provide pain relief after the procedure and decrease the need for additional pain medication.

For the first day or two after your Beverly Hills liposculpture procedure, you likely will experience swelling in the treated areas, as well as some fluid drainage from the incision sites.

You can resume light activity within the first few days after your procedure. Most people go back to work in just a few days as well. You can then gradually increase your activity to full speed over the next days and weeks.

Most patients are very pleased with the results of our unique liposculpture technique. By eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise, you can help to maintain your slimmer figure or leaner physique.
